Maintained by the University of Georgia, this virtual center for Islamic studies provides the academic community, journalists, and the public with reliable information about the Islamic world, its countries, and Muslims. The site makes available a collection of links and resources documenting Islam’s history and sacred texts, as well as providing information on its culture, its place in the modern world, and women’s rights.

 

Arab Social Science Research

ASSR is a Web portal maintained by the Arab Institute for Studies and Communication (AISC), an organization of senior Arab social scientists. The site and its resources are organized by country, by subject, and by type of resource for each of the twenty-two Arab countries. The ASSR country index offers a quick overview of the resources in English and Arabic.

A Web site maintained by the Middle East Studies Association, “Links” organizes resources for Middle-East and Islamic countries, including the following: art, film and video, journals and publications, language study on-line, research organizations, societies and associations, technology and information, and university programs.
