Georgia will anchor the southeast corner of the nationwide Super Tuesday vote Feb. 5, guaranteeing the state a distinctive role in the nominating process once again.
There is no party registration in Georgia, so the state's 4,306,371 active registered voters (as of August 2007) can participate in either the Democratic or Republican primaries.
