Race For The Presidency
Winning the 2008 Nomination
By Rhodes Cook |
|
Idaho is a small part of the huge Super Tuesday vote, holding Democratic caucuses Feb. 5 that begin the state party's delegate-selection process. Idaho Republicans use the May 27 primary to elect most of their delegates, an event that is a nonbinding "beauty contest" for the Democrats.
Idaho does not have party registration. As of March 2007, the state had 693,965 registered voters who can participate in either party's delegate-selection process.
