Kenneth Jost, The CQ Researcher

Kenneth Jost has written Supreme Court Yearbook since the 1992-1993 term. He is author of Supreme Court From A to Z, now in its fifth edition, and The New York Times on the Supreme Court, both published by CQ Press. He is also a contributing writer to CQ Researcher, where he was a staff writer and later associate editor for twenty years. Jost is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches media law as an adjunct professor. He has covered legal affairs as a reporter, editor, or columnist since 1970 and has contributed to a variety of legal publications. In addition, he has been a frequent commentator about the Supreme Court on television and radio programs, including CBS Radio, CNN, C-SPAN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, NPR, and several local radio and television outlets. He was a member of the CQ Researcher team that won the American Bar Association's Silver Gavel Award in 2002 for magazine coverage of law and justice issues. During a sabbatical from journalism, he served for four years as chief legislative assistant to then-Rep. Al Gore (1977-1980).
